So, we’ve reached some kind of milestone (I think) but ultimately days are running into nights so we are not sure but I think Daylight Savings might work in our favor. Anyway, this past week provided a few new highlights to tell you all.
First, the weather (despite earlier in the week - see snow storm below) reached near 70 degrees this weekend. So, Tuyen and I took out Simone in the stroller, walked near the Hudson River and then had tacos in Meatpacking District. That was so nice! And, for a moment there, we felt pretty ‘normal’. Also, as you can see, Simone went with Tuyen to do a little grocery shopping in her sling and I had a chance to give her a bottle (pure milk if you know what I mean).
While we can say that we are still not sleeping, we did manage a few moments of normalcy this weekend. Enjoy the pics, send us your comments and best wishes to you all.

Stay tuned for this week (week 4) for the special Vietnamese special function at 1 month birthday and we may even do a naming party for Simone. Until next post.

So, everything on the hope front is going well. So far this week, NYC had a big snow storm as you can see from our front window looking out onto the street. Also, Tuyen, Simone and I posed (thanks to the self timer) for our first family (self) portrait. Still getting very little sleep over here but Simone is growing, eating, growing and the natural functions that happen in between. We’ll catch up on more stuff soon but thought you’d all like to see these pictures. Enjoy!

So, we all went home from the hospital on February 17, and we’ve taken that time to get used to each other and for Tuyen and I to get used to being first time parents. Needless to say, we are tired but very happy. After several requests for updates, we figured that this blog would be a good way to show a few pictures of Simone, provide links to more pictures on Kodak gallery and to give you updates on how things are
going for the family. We’d like to thank Nga Tran (Tuyen’s mom) for her visit and help. We look forward to more visits from her this Summer.
So, overall, we are good and now that we have the first two weeks under our belt, we should be able to provide a bit more in the way of updates and pictures. We’d like to
thank everyone for their support, calls, generous gifts and random text messages and shout outs on Facebook. We’ll do our best to keep up here and look forward to your continued love and support.
Update: We are working on a new photo solution so you can see the galleries. Stay tuned

Hello everyone! We are pleased to welcome Simone Tran Rosenberg to the family. Simone was born on February 15, 2009 at 8:08 PM in New York City. Simone was born at 5 pounds 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. Right after she was born, she came to our sides has been there ever since. We are home now and really getting to know each other. Our hope with this blog is that we can keep everyone up-to-date (probably weekly for now) on Simone. Please feel free to comment, download these pics and should you want higher resolution photos, we’d be happy to send. In the meantime, enjoy and let us know if you have any thoughts for this blog.
